The newly completed 314 km-long Chengdu – Mianyang – Leshan High-speed railway connects Chengdu with other major cities in Sichuan Province including Leshan, Mt. Emei, Mianyang, etc.
It’s now under trial operation and will be in service around the year end. The bullet trains start from Chengdu South Station and run at a speed of 250 km/h. By the middle of December 2014, travel time from Chengdu to the surrounding cities will be cut into less than 1 hour, which will bring great convenience to the travelers and local citizens.
